gnoll's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- florida last night i met up with terrence the programmer at sherway mall, he offered to take me along with him down south. I was a little disspointed when he said we were going to Florida, i really had my mind set on something more tropical and resort like. regardless i agreed to go along, despite the fact that i only had one change of clothes on me. we went to the parking lot, jumped into his car and left. the weather seemed a little sketchy when we arrived, i swear i've been there before and with the same weather conditions, though i think that night i was in california and everyone was trying to avoid the hurricane that was passing through. we entered the building and were escorted by a korean girl, who i think was the maid for the entire building, to our room. we were under the impression that we would have seperate rooms, especially since terrence's wife was supposed to be staying with us aswell, but we were limited to two beds in one room. anyway, we got changed and headed back downstairs. through the window i could see the water, a little on the dark side but clear and with a sandy bottom. I went and sat on the dock next to the beach unsure what to do with my wallet and watch while im in the water. Some guy im with decides he wants to ride in this really weird submarine thing. it's molded from orange plastic and resembles an actual submarine with a hole in the top for people to climp in. it holds four passengers which sit on styrofoam pads, but im pretty sure it doesn't submerge. Once they all got inside i simply gave them a big push, much like you would when pushing a canoe into the water from the shore. im still a little confuse at to how they were going to keep it moving along after the initial push. 07:47:42 - 2000-05-15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
