we were heading along dundas, sinclair? west, im sure of it. we needed to stop off at a grocery store to pick up something. inside i kept looking for whatever i was supposed to be looking for but i forgot, partly because i kept finding other things that i wanted that i couldnt get at my local store : some weird cheap soy beverage and this big bag of granola-like grain, err. somewhere, in one of the aisles was kristin, at least she said she would be there.

staff from work had gotten together at some house. the plan was to meet and then head out for our lunch across town, somewhere on north yonge i believe. downstairs in the basement a bunch of them were seated around a long table. tracy had made sandwiches and brought jars and jars of sliced pickles for everyone. didn't really understand all of that though, i mean we were heading out to lunch soon. oh ya, you were there too michelle, you came up to me, sat in my lap and kept saying how you really needed to spend more time with me, like hinting that you wanted to be with me again or something akin to that, ya know? but what was i to make of it really, lunch was the only sure thing at this moment so i called out to everyone that we should split before the reservations were cancelled on us.

walking down the street in a pack we were passing the carpet factory loft building, where we are supposed to be moving to in a month or two. i figured i'd take a prelinary look around, so did phil. inside we really just walked the halls from one end of the building to the other. around the stairwells they had small art installations set up, obviusly art on showcase by designers who worked in the building for various companies. the first piece was some sort of radio fashioned out of a lightbullb with several antennas popping out the top. one of the antennas looked like it would be well suited for base scanning to i snagged it and slid it up the sleeve of my jacket.

as i approached the house we were to leave from i could see my bike, mangled. ..someone had stolen it, well not really. it seemed stolen but most of it was there, understand? they used a saw of some description to cut through the frame and get around the u-lock, and sniped the cable lock but for some reson weren't able to take the whole bike away. the frame, although worthless, was still there, as was the rear wheel and drive, though all mangled as well. all they got was the front wheel and headset, bars etc. a total write off nonetheless though.
