gnoll's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the best friend i never had then i guess as you'd say, it was never meant to be and i'll dwell on what it could have been. Strange visitors the other night, d.Burke and carol threw a party and yes, i did show up. a big house, several floors and filled with pockets of people from room to room. some young hispanic guy who obviously spent a good chunk of his time at the gym kept glancing alternately at his ass and me, his ass, and me, over and over like he was trying to hypnotize me. Then a flash and we were walking hand in hand back from the science centre. truly bizarre. Dan and carol offered up some hospitality and showed me to the third floor where they had stacks of hay bales for folks to crash on. amongst them i found a large futon matress and opted for that instead. morning arrives, it's sunday and time to hit the yard sale outside. Julia's whole family is partcipating, even her brother has a basket with odds and ends sitting on the porch. mostly bits from broken toys but i find a fingerboard and figure i'll work him down from the two dollar asking price. alongside the house her mom is sitting by a table with one of her art pieces - a paper mache prepared chicken with a human hand sprouting from the neck cavity. the $77 price tag totally doesn't agree with me and she's notes my lack of interest and shoots off some snide comment in russian about me not be able to appreciate art. "�� ���� ������������". inside she's trying to make grilled cheese sandwiches, though she's trying to grill them in the oven on the rack. cheese is dripping all over the bottom elements and flames are charring the bread.
