gnoll's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- spadina each morning i wake up closer and closer to the time set on my alarm. im not sure where things started but we ended up in transit heading north in a mercedes SUV. two friends in the back seat, i was in the front seat and a morphing caitlin/nicole/other driving. we couldnt figure out where to go, or rather how to get out of where we were. we were on Spadina heading north at the tail end of some sort of chinese celebration, the trafffic was barely moving and the crowds of people walking in small packs on the street and between the cars werent helping. the ground was littered with red and yellow streamers and bits of food (typically what appeared to be uncooked pieces of chicken). Once we hit Dundas we made a left and headed north on a side street. im not sure what street we turned off (i think it might have been college) we were trying to head back east to get onto Spadina again. while we had escaped the last dregs of the chinese celebration we soon found ourselves in thick traffic again amongst various packs of people heading east to Church street where a big Cuban themed gay street party was to take place. when we turned off onto spadina again we heared some yelling and caught glimpses of some commotion on the street ahead. a young lady wearing a blue windbreaker and light blue sweatpants was on her hands and knees in the middle of the street screaming for help. someone had taken her diamond ring and was running up the street. still in her view she pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot. at this point we had drivin past her so i suggested we pull to the side incase she fires. up ahead a crowd of people seemed to have cornered him and when we pulled out and drove past they were circling and taunting him. i think there might have been more. 06:32:33 - 2000-02-25 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
